AA Awards Lewtrenchard, both Hotel and Restaurant Posted on 20/11/2007
Lewtrenchard Manor has been awarded three AA rosettes for culinary excellence in the new AA Restaurant Guide 2005 – one of the highest accolades it is possible to receive. The restaurant previously held 2 AA rosettes.
AA Chief Hotel and Restaurant Inspector, Paul Birnie, says:
“Less than 10% of restaurants in the British Isles are awarded rosettes of three or more – these are the best in the industry and very worthy winners. Each is outstanding in its own way, and I pay tribute to the consistent excellence they achieve.”
Head Chef, Jason Hornbuckle, says “It is a wonderful achievement as only 5 restaurants in Devon hold this award. Lewtrenchard Manor pride themselves on sourcing the finest of ingredients, using local suppliers wherever possible.”
The AA has also named Lewtrenchard Manor as one of the top hotels in the British Isles. It has been awarded a prestigious three red star rating for its accommodation and has been selected as one of the top 200 hotels in Britain and Ireland.
