Chef Patron, Jason Hornbuckle, trained in Melton Mowbray and moved straight to London and worked at The four Seasons Hotel on Park Lane; a five red star property, and trained under Bruno Loubet. The hotel's restaurant received 9 out of 10 in the Good Food Guide, four rosettes and one Michelin star for five years.

Jason then moved to become Head Chef at Bistrot Bruno in Soho, which won many awards. He then moved to Wales as Head Chef at Tyddyn Llan Country House Hotel with three red stars, where he gained three rosettes, 6 out of ten in the Good Food Guide and a bright spark award, hotel of the Year Cheshire Life and Restaurant of the Year.

Jason went on to win the award of Inspirational Chef of Wales and came second in Egon Ronnay Chef of the Year, against 1600 applicants and also appeared on Granada TV's 'Hot Young Chefs' programme.

When Jason moved to Lewtrenchard Manor, he once again gained three rosettes, 6 out of 10 in the Good Food Guide and Restaurant of the Month in Decanter magazine. Jason soon became Chef Patron of Lewtrenchard Manor and recently appeared on the West Country production 'Country Lives'.

Jason has travelled and learned different styles of cuisine from Thailand, India, Africa, Australia and New Zealand and he uses these influences in his cooking.
